Mirantibus (Wonder)

I looked at the horizon
On one side of the ribbed
River. An outbreak of
Aptenias covered his steps.

I saw in that blue background of the
Iris from his eyes, a great Bull.
The columns they had built
They lacerated his beautiful skin,.
At dusk he would escape.

Pasifae would wait in secret.
Her love was forbidden.
They would pay for her betrayal.

Of her licentious
Love, a wonderful
Creature would come to life:
An abominable being for some,
But sublime to the Gods.

Confined to the most
Perfect prison,
He found love,
The same forbidden love
From his parents.
