What is that one thing that you want to do that keeps you up at night, what is that thing that you aspire to become that gives you a sleepless night, what is that hieght you wish to attain that makes you work tirelessly, what is that big dream of yours that keeps you surging forward rekindling the fire in you and energizing you.
Legacy
Legacy is what you lay down for others to emulate and enjoy, it's the system you establish that guides the coming generation, it shines light, gives joy and becomes a shield from disaster/havoc and menace and in turn becomes their way of life. Legacy is the monument you build that will serve the coming generation for ages.
To successfully lay down a legacy, you need to have walked through the path of sacrifice. for your legacy to hold, many other things like your time, resources and even sometimes your prestige must have been lost through sacrifice. but many tend to quit and walk away at the sight of a red light forgotten that after a red light comes the green light, and that's why they loose out on the journey of laying down a Legacy.
Life may bash you left and right, life may throw dirth at you, but no matter how hash life may seem to treat you at this journey of legacy, always remember this saying "Tough time never last, but tough people do", " There's always a light at the end of the tunnel" and "After the storm comes the sunshine". quiting and walking away is not the best for your Legacy.
Stand for something today, believe in yourself and work to achieve.
They say "persistence breaks down the walls of resistance" what is the essence of starting something you wouldn't finish, why have that big dream when you know you wouldn't work to achieve it, why bothering people with your system when you know you wouldn't make it work?
we need to be persistent in our dealings, doing it in competence and in Truth.
Don't give up on yourself, don't listen to critics. you're the one who had the dream and only you understands it better.
A continuous driping of water makes a mighty Ocean, you may want to fly, it is okay but if you cant fly then run, and if you cant run then walk, yet if you cant still walk then crawl, but in all that you do make sure you're moving forward to achieve your dream and build a Legacy. It may take a little more time but in no time it'll definitely be accomplished.
Legacy is for those who are willing and ready to put up the work and change the narative.
Shalom.
Welcome to The Ink Well!
Now that you're here, please have a look around and get to know our community. Here are a few tips for getting acquainted:
Be sure to read The Ink Well community rules at the top of the community home page, and check out our FAQ about The Ink Well.
We accept two kinds of short stories in The Ink Well: fictional stories and creative nonfiction stories. We are all about quality, and we expect writers to carefully review their work before posting. Not doing so will result in low curation rewards or posts being ignored. You can see our article on checking your posts for grammar here.
The Ink Well is primarily a community focused on short story fiction. This submission unfortunately does not fit into either category of writing accepted by The Ink Well, although it may well fit perfectly within the remit of other communities. It is also on the short side and we find that most pieces under 750 words are underdeveloped.
You can find some great articles on story writing in our catalog of storytelling tips.
You can find information about what we are looking for in creative nonfiction stories in this post.
And please be sure to engage in the community by reading and commenting on the work of other community members. We ask everyone who posts in The Ink Well to read and comment on at least two other stories for each one published.
We note that you have not supported any of writers in the community. We only curate those who write within the parameters of our community rules and guidelines and who support their fellow writers.
We note that you have used AI previously on Hive to generate posts. Please note that this practice is not acceptable to The Ink Well. This includes using AI editors to rephrase/rewrite drafts or to rearrange sentences or substitute phrases.
**We expect our writers to submit quality pieces and this means at the very least that they have edited their work before submission to identify and correct for basic spelling errors, grammar, and punctuation.
Again, welcome!
I am sorry about this.
