Things have fallen apart; Ishmail, whose seat number was 221, looked back, signifying that there was a big problem.
After collecting his question paper and checking through the question, I watched Danjuma open his eyes bulgingly as wide as he could. This time, sweat was dripping off his forehead, and he was oozing off heat from within his singlet, which is now vivid to be seen.
The examiner walked up to him and said, ‘Hey friend, are you okay, and how come you are sweating profusely?
No.. nothing, Danjuma said in a shaking voice, looking soaked as if he had just left the swimming pool with his clothes on.
“ This question is not familiar at all. I can not risk failing this exam as it is a 4 unit course, and this is our final year and final paper examination, " he lamented bitterly as he couldn't believe his eyes either.
“Anything can go wrong will go wrong “ I noted, telling Ishmail and Danjuma how I warned them yesterday night about the strange question they claim they bought from a reliable source.
Ishmail answered, “Double Dee sold it to me for ten thousand, and he confirmed the leaked questions have ninety-nine percent to be seen”.
“Double Dee, named Desmond Damilare, is the number one past questions services provider, school runs master and assignments solver,, and leaked questions link to other students in the college. He is known by all the students, the lecturers, and other bodies in the school, he does tutorials for colleagues, helps do assignments, tests, and examination impersonation and he is mostly known as examinations crook, the one that was rusticated but wouldn't leave the campus environment”, I soliloquized before answering quietly to Ishmail knowing that the examiner is looking towards my direction and suspected that I was talking with my friends.
“So it was Double Dee that was the reliable source you both told me of last night”. I inquired.
Then I heard, “Hey you, stand up.” I looked up and confirmed the examiner was talking to me; I stood up looking at him as he walked closer.
“Follow me”, he said, and I obeyed as he walked me up to the podium, ordered me to carry a chair, and continued my exams there.
From the examiner’s perspective, he thought he was strict with me, maybe because he thought I knew nothing, and that was the reason why I indulged in talking in the examination hall. Meanwhile, it was my friend who only hoped to write something through me that was the one who he had jeopardized with.
This time around, I needn't try to look up again to avoid being scrutinized so I just face my question paper, aiming at the questions I can attempt and solving and writing everything I can remember down.
After one hour, I was through with the examination and had to cross-check my answers.
Then I remembered my friends Ishmail and Danjuma, and the situation they found themselves in gave me a recall of our discussion last night just like a flashback, so I got lost back in time, looking through the imagery of the scenery and how it ended.
“This question will not fail or be skipped but to be seen tomorrow as the source is solid, and we paid high to have this copy,” Danjuma said, recalling his speech last night.
Danjuma, who is the roommate of Ishmail, my good pal on campus. Continues..
“This is the last year in school and this course is 4 units”, Danjuma said and Ismail took from there, ‘We have its logistics and solutions, leaked questions, and the likes, it is a top-notch secret if you want to participate bring five thousand and you will have a fair share’, Ishmail concluded in a low tone.
What questions if I may ask, I said.
They both answered together, "Tomorrow's paper, the final examination”.
‘First, I won't partake in such examination runs, and secondly, what is the proof that the questions are accurate? What if something goes wrong and you are left in a state of limbo?’ I objected bluntly.
Then Danjuma answered, ‘You are not interested, or you don't want to pay, tell me, and I will give it to you free without charges, but you telling me otherwise is a no for me; this source is one hundred percent, and I have been using it since first year.’
Ishmail continues from there saying’, I was introduced to this scheme by Danjuma during the first year and I saw the question, I could not believe it at first and that was why I kept it from you from the start but after the second year and third year, I confirmed it authentication and that is why I decided to carry you along friend’. He stated convincingly.
"The plan is simple: we study with the question's solution, go with that to the examination hall, confirm the question accuracy, do the solution, and have excellent grades as ever’, Danjuma said boastfully.
I was convinced as well looking at the year of consistency and knowing I just don't have to read all the handouts but to study on selected questions.
The result speaks authentication knowing Ishmail and Danjuma are one of the best in class due to their outstanding performance but something just hints to me to the fact that I have been studying and having the same grades as they do even though I couldn't see the question to work with so ‘what is the difference’, I soliloquized and concluded telling them I am not interested and left their room but as I was going, I confirmed Danjuma saying that Ishmail should let me be that I was just paranoid because they have the link and I didn't.
‘Hey, snap it up, I heard as I quickly recollected myself and back to the present.
The examiner said, making his best effort to be satirical with his speech and he continued,’ Hey friend, I see you are lost around here, can you please go to the nearby police station and complain that you are a lost fellow? ' he stated that exaggeratedly and everyone in the examination hall laughed.
I stood up and submitted my answer papers and looked at Ismail from the far corner of the hall who looked as if he had just drunk a cup of lime and his face displayed sour mode and Danjuma who looked like a person who had just eaten raw bitter leaves and his face displayed bitter mode, so I know that anything that can go wrong has already gone wrong for them.

Examination tensions could destabilize an individual. Partaking in examination practice also could affect many good things, including making many things go wrong. Good script and narration.

Sometimes, we have to ignore malpractice and face reality. Not all answers are seen as correct or original. some are just fake. It's great that you did not follow their lead.

They were depending on the questions that was sold to them. If at all they read for the exams, they would have written something but they wanted shortcut out of the exams. Thank God you left when you had the chance. Thank you for sharing.
