It was in the year 2019 in I was the drama coordinator for 3 years in a row and we had a drama night coming up in school all hands were on deck in preparation for the upcoming drama night, we had to drama rehearsals during the day and some doing the night for like 3 weeks straight.
It was going fine even with the hurdles and bundles involved and everyone was stressed out beyond limit.
During the cause of the rehearsal we had a particular scene that involved someone being in a coffin, dead for some minutes. A lady was chosen, let's call this lady Ifeoma. She was a very good actor and she was brave enough to stay inside the coffin.
So we all acted with the coffin and we got our script right, so on that particular day, a day to the drama night we had our dress rehearsal, dress rehearsal happened all through the night or you can also call it marathon rehearsal. That was the last time we used the coffin to practice for that night.
And now on the main day of the event one of our alumini wanted us to go over that coffin scene one more time. So we started looking for ifeoma we contacted one of her friends who told us that she was in the hospital that he fainted during the day ,but finally she came around and she had to lie down in the coffin before the main event started for the last rehearsal.
That is when it happened ifeoma had already gotten into the coffin and the lay down or so we thought, then all of a sudden we had screams from inside the hall that the coffin wasn't opening anymore and ifeoma was stuck inside it, we all panicked everybody run hellter skelter trying to break the coffin open, but nothing worked we panicked we wanted to cut it open .
It wasn't funny for anyone. At that point we all have heard about things like that at one point in time as drama ministers and we were like is this really happening to us right now.
Meanwhile I forgot to describe how the coffin looks like it is not your typical kind of coffin is was actually made with wood just hit together that when placed on the opposite side it would look like it was placed right where you could open it but you can't open it from there you have to open it from the other side so it was kind of tricky but nobody thought about that at the moment.
Still in the state of frenzy trying to break the coffin open then Ifeoma walked in and asked what is going on, we didn't even look up to know who was talking to us everybody was still focused on trying to open the coffin till one of us now looked up and shouted is this not Ifeoma.
You needed to see our faces at that moment some people jumped out of the window literally some people collapsed on the floor because how is somebody who we are trying to save from the coffin that was locked now standing with us it was something we couldn't understand.
So it was later that we found out that ifeoma and some of the crew planned this to see our reaction hmmm. God is good that was all I could say at the moment because what was I going to explain that I was hosting a drama night and I lost one of my members because of lying down in a coffin . That will be an abomination.

Fast forward to few minutes later when every other person realized what was going on you needed to see their faces everybody was relieved it wasn't funny at all ,some people never wanted to be joked with in that kind of manner again.
