Kate and Sophie were both upcoming stars, they were trainees last year and just made their debut in the entertainment industry. They are singers and dancers, and their first album will be out in the next few weeks.
“Sophie! I’m so excited, I don’t know what to say” Kate screams in excitement
“Yeah…….. it’s really a dream come true and we have come this far, ain’t no limitations again” Sophie reply’s with a big smile on her face.
Even though their schedule are fixed with so many activities, from photo shoots for ads to making their dance practices and going to the studio to check their ongoing albums, they gladly indulge in every of their activities. They are finally making up for the time they are always idle.
A flashback to when these two friends were still in high school, they would always push themselves to manage their school and academics alongside their training.
Kate is always the energetic and outspoken type, she grew up without a parent so she wouldn’t allow anyone to trample under her. She lived her life just like that. Kate is a cool headed girl, she gives up easily and cry’s a lot.
When these two met each other, it’s just like a match from heaven. They were made for themselves, kate fights for Sophie and defends her everywhere, always encourage her never to give up on her dreams. Sophie on the other hand managed to keep kate out of trouble.
At that time when they will always make performances in front of their mates during lunch time. They always made it a practice because they were trying to get familiar with the crowd and stage performances.
An incident occurred that made Sophie cry her eyes out. They were performing a very popular artist’s dance, although they haven’t study her dance moves very well. While dancing in the midst of her mates, one of the students watching their dance shouted “Boo”
They stopped dancing as everyone focuses their attention on the boy who shouted, he stood up and walk out of their midst. He ruined their performance as everyone leaves. At that point, Sophie feels emptiness and began crying, while Kate became so furious with the guy that ruined their performance she feels like she should go beat him up.
After many years of friendship, Sophie discovers she is suffering from stomach cancer and she needs to undergo a surgery as soon as possible and they are making their debut in a month’s time.
Kate was unsure on what do to. Everyone advised her to abandon Sophie and choose another partner, nobody knows when how quickly she will recover. Despite Sophie’s absence, kate trained as hard as she could if they can’t make their debut this year, they will next year.
Kate suddenly hugs Sophie as they both reminisce on their journey so far. She thanks Kate for not giving up on her
This is an interesting story with a complete arc. You create two characters who have complementary personalities. Together they make a good team. Your character portrayals are believable, and your resolution is good. It's good because it doesn't suggest happily ever after. It presents us with two people realistically dealing with a life problem.
