Bella was born into a royal family, her father happens to be the king, she lost her mother ten years ago in an assasination. Since then her father had locked her up in her room claiming its for her protection. He married another wife who gave birth to a son this time. Princess Bella had gotten used to the solitary and confinement. It first looked like she was mourning her mother for the first few years because her mother was her only companion they would play and sing together, her mum would watch her go to bed before leaving her side at night. As the years went by, she became known as the "singing princess" her only work was singing from her rom till she gets tired.
Finally the princess is twenty years of age and its time for her to be known to the world. Her first appearance after ten years will be at a festival celebration where dignitaries and royal subjects will be seated that is where the king will look for a suitable man and give her hand in marriage. Bella knew what is coming for her. Of course she wants freedom but she does not to want to marry a stranger. She planned with her maid that she would run away after the celebration.
The day came and there wete preparation going on from every corner of the palace the best meals were being prepared by the royal chefs, decorations and musics were going on, the maids were busy beautifying the queen, the prince and the princess.
By evening, the celebration began, different people from different places made their way to the Palace and when it's time for the king to introduce his daughter Bella, everyone were in awe of her beauty, she was fair skinned with a beautiful grey eyes so she attracted everyone especially the young princes who were present.
At midnight Bellas maid who had stolen the palace key escorted the princess secretly from the Palace. As soon as they got outside the palace building they baded each other goodbye. Whats left for bella is to go outside the palace gate and then shes free. While trying to find her way to the palace gate, she got lost and bumped into a charming young man. He was dressed in a simple rope but his appearance looks like that of a noble man.
Bella decided to ask the young man for the way, she eventually narrated her whole story to him. The young man adviced her not to run away because the outside world is a dangerous place. They talked for a while and it seems they were already fond of eachother. Bella wished she could pick the man she wants for herself. If she's opportuned to pick a man for herself she will pick this young man.
In the morning many had departed after the occasion, those who were still present at the Palace are those who were interested in marrying the princess. There were five princes present. The king granted her daughters wish by telling her to choose the man he wants by a little test by herself. She will not be able to see the five princes until after the test.
The simple test was to find the princesses greatest desire. The first prince brought a lot of money, the second brought gold and silver, the third lots of jewelleries and the fourth a golden crown, the fifth brought nothing. Why? He claimed the princess wants nothing other than freedom, and that happens to be the right answer. Everyother person brought material possessions, even the king knew the fifth prince was right. Bella was happy that someone got her test and she can't wait to see who the young prince was. To her greatest surprise, it was that young man who she encoutered last night. He was a prince afterall. Bella was happy that she found a man who knew her desire and ready to fulfil them. The young man at the other hand was happy that he was lucky to have found this jewel.
How fortunate for the princess that she encountered the wise prince outside her home. How fortunate that she had a loyal made who would help her.
