Mark picks his mark and goes in for the kill. Of course, only a someone up for the scam, could possibly become a victim in this circumstance; that’s what makes the story. Mark spun a yarn with a hook, but John took the bait willingly and Mary was just a convenient witness. A plot worthy of a commercial thriller, it would be a “sellout” success.
