RE: Rules or Stressful Field | The Inkwell Short Story Contest

in The Ink Well4 years ago

This story has a very good scheme. In the very beginning readers suspect there may be trouble for this fellow when these lines are read:

In a life of every man with the right sense, what he values most is his source(s) of income and the food he eats on daily basis.

Immediately, wise readers might think about family and friends, about values that have nothing to do with money or professional achievement.

Sure enough, our protagonist loses his way. He does not pay attention to what is truly important...his family. When he loses that, he also loses his mooring. The job and prestige follow.

One leaves with the hope that he is young enough to have learned his mistake and that he may begin again in life.

Thank you for sharing this well-considered story with us. We appreciate very much that you support other authors by reading their stories.
