This story is interesting because it is fiction and yet reads as though it is true. That's great when a writer can imagine something so vividly that the story becomes real for the reader.
We are surprised that your mother is not more annoyed with your father. Yet, the vision she has is so powerful that it seems to have overpowered any irritation she might feel.
