This story is wonderful, @katleya. It has adventure, intrigue, romance, tension. There is more than one conflict. There is the conflict between husband and wife. The conflict between twins. And, finally, the conflict of conscience.
Your resolution is excellent because it is not perfect. We, the readers, may agree with Raiko's decision, but we are also conflicted. Raiko is true to his conscience, but must betray his twin in order to do that.
