@kittycrafter, we would like to welcome you to Hive. However, you are corrent in your concern that this article does not belong in The Ink Well.
A few tips for you as you identify communities where you can post your content:
- Look for a community's rules. In the case of The Ink Well community, you will find them right at the top of the page, and they clearly state that we only accept short stories.
- Read the type of content that is posted in the community to determine if your content is related in any way. In the case of The Ink Well, you will find that the only content appearing in our community is short stories.
- If you cannot find a community that would welcome your alien abduction content, you don't have to post in a community at all. You can just click the pen icon, write your post, and it will post to your blog.

Be sure to get acquainted with @theterminal. It's one of the best sources of information on the Hive platform. They also have a Discord server and they are great at answering questions.
