We enjoyed this story, @neotopher. However, our AI detectors tell us it is mostly written by AI, even when we tested the original version in Spanish. This is unfortunate since we do not accept AI generated stories. Can you please provide some insights on your writing and editing process? What tools are you using as you write and refine your stories?

Hi @theinkwell, what you're saying is very strange, even I'm surprised. I don't know which AI detector you usually use, but I typically use AI to generate supporting images or to translate into English.
My writing process is usually as follows: I jot down the first idea that comes to mind in a Word document and develop/structure it throughout the day. Lately, it takes me a whole day because of my busy schedule. Since my native language is Spanish, I use translators that adapt it to English as best they can.
Thank you for your response, @neotopher. We use several different tools, because they are not always reliable. We reached out to you about this when several different tools were in agreement that your story was likely written or heavily edited by AI.
Do you use Grammarly or other such tools to check for grammar issues? Sometimes when writers accept rephrasing suggestions from these tools, the content is then detected as likely AI-written.
We always enjoy your stories! It's very good to know that you are not generating them with AI. If you are using any rephrasing tools, we recommend you avoid that.
