Hi @rayobi. Welcome to Hive and to The Ink Well community. We have some important guidelines and rules to share with you before you post again in The Ink Well.
Please be sure to read our community rules, which appear at the top of The Ink Well community home page, and also at the top of a new post page when you write a post in The Ink Well. You will see that we do not accept serial stories or chapter stories, for example.
We are a short story community. Every story published in The Ink Well must be complete, with a beginning, middle and ending. (No "to be continued" stories.)
We accept two kinds of short stories in The Ink Well: fictional stories and creative nonfiction stories. Fictional stories are invented from your imagination. Creative nonfiction stories are true tales about your own real life experiences.
- You can find some great articles on story writing in our catalog of storytelling tips.
- You can find information about what we are looking for in creative nonfiction stories in this post.
Here are some additional important resources:
- Be sure to check out our FAQ about The Ink Well.
- We are all about quality, and we expect writers to carefully review their work before posting. Not doing so will result in low curation rewards or posts being ignored. You can see our article on checking your posts for grammar here. Note: You must not use grammar and AI tools to revise and rewrite your work. Please only use them to correct grammatical and spelling errors.
- Be sure to review The Ink Well's treasure trove of tips, reminders and guidelines.
And please be sure to engage in the community by reading and commenting on the work of other community members. We ask everyone who posts in The Ink Well to read and comment on at least two other stories for each one published.
Thank you and again welcome.
