What a delightful read
But what is this secret that is so well guarded... ok, not so well guarded after all

You offer science fiction and a crime drama, all rolled into one in this story. Your introduction of Cyranoids is particularly interesting. Thank you for posting this well-conceived story in the Ink Well community, and thank you for consistently engaging with other writers. This helps to keep our community strong.

Thank you @ubani1 for introducing me to the concept of Cyranoids. I thought you made it up and then found out it is actually a concept introduced by a bona fide research scientist. I was relieved that there was no murder at the end of the story.

It sounds to me as though our protagonist needs to lead a life with less secrets :)) I personally wouldn't be able to sleep at night worrying about such things.

I respect the way you devised a complex plot and worked it out so that it all falls together. Not easy to do in the space of a short story.

Funny writing !LUV.

Great opening hook. Everyone loves secrets. The idea that someone can transmit thoughts through another person is unsettling.

This is really clever and well done, @ubani1. I love the cyranoids. That's so interesting. I hadn't heard of them before, so I looked it up. What an interesting concept. Now I'm really wondering what deep, dark secrets the boss is hiding.

Cyranoids is a word relatively new to me and I'm glad I looked it up! The way science keeps expanding on a daily basis is baffling and interesting too.

Mr Townsend is one dangerous and cool person. In reality, he would have left a bullet in the glock's chamber like the Russian roulette and killed the Cyranoid after getting his info. That's the lifestyle of a secretive person!

I enjoyed this story. Nicely written. 🙂
