The school bell rang at 1 pm and Ali was very curious to hear that bell. Yes, all the students wait for the bell that announces the completion of classes but today’s bell was something more awaited and important for Ali. This bell was ensuring him that he is about to get his wish fuldilled soon.He vigilantly heard the consecutive 7 ringing bells after the end of each class and now this was the final bell telling that today’s classes had ended. Ali put his books and notebooks, greeted his teacher, and rushed towards the gate of the school where a school was on standby to pick up students and drop them to their respective homes.
Ali was so prompt in rushing from the class to the bus that for the first time he managed front window seats which he always wished on. Today was a very special day for him as a kid. He was about to see and get for what he had shown his stubbornness for the last 6 months.
It was about 6 months ago when he asked his father to buy him that thing. But the financial condition of his father was not allowing him to spare the money to spend on that expensive thing. Well this time Ali was resolute as well. He didn’t retreat. After all, he was the youngest kid of his parents and he had full right to cash this favor.
Just two days before his birthday he again insisted to buy for him that thing as his birthday gift.
“Father, Do you remember what is after two days” Ali asked his father.
His father knew what he was talking about but replied,” No son, what is that “ in an unacquainted manner.
This strangeness annoyed Ali and he changed his side turning back on his father. His mother smirked noticing his act and said,” Why are you teasing my son …Don’t you know how sensitive he is”
His father laughed over his act and said” How can I forget that auspicious day? It was the day when my beautiful son was brought into my arms.”
This sentence glanced a smile over Ali’s face and he excitingly got up and sat on the belly of his father hugging him.”Father, I love you … You are very loving…you are very sweet…you are very handsome.” His father roared with laughter,” Ohh ok ok stop and tell me for what purpose you are buttering me that much?”
“As you know it’s my birthday two days after today and it is a culture that gifts and presents are given to birthday peep….So what will you buy for me?”
“Ahan so this was the matter for which I was flattered that much….You have become very witty Ali. What do you want?” He smilingly asked.
“Father, you better know …Please buy me that naw … it's my birthday” He insisted.
Now this word birthday was a trump card for him which he waited to throw at right moment. And this was enough to melt his father and he consented.
“Okay if my son wants that so eagerly, I will buy that for you. When you return from the school on that day, you will find it on your bed.” His father said to him.
And now it was a day for what he waited for 6 months, especially the last two days. He was willing to reach his home even before an impulse.
Finally, he reached his home. He rang the bell continuously until his sister opened the door saying,” Have you gone mad Ali … What is this behavior?” Ali was in no mood to listen to anyone and he directly entered his room to see whether his most wanted present was lying there or not. But he suffered a disappointment after seeing there was nothing there. The tears popped out of his eyes and he became very sad. Meanwhile, someone knocked at the door. He didn’t want to go and open but continuous rings forced him to open. When he opened the door, he couldn’t believe his eyes. His father and mother were standing there with a box in their hand that was nothing but his most eagerly wished “Playstation 5”.
He jumped in excitement and took the box from their hands. He opened it and yes it was that. Ali became very happy and seeing him laughing made his parents smile as well.
