You take a little inspiration and craft from it a whole world. While I had no intention of even mentioning the Christmas branch, somehow it slipped out, and look what you have made of it! I shall have to be more careful, lest my careless lips cause some real trouble. Your Christmas story is truly beautiful, and I am glad you're not a trouble maker instead of a designer of beautiful stories. Now I just have to build up some fertile soil...
Thanks!
Edit: like Elijah's tree, my little branch has gained adornment from others that I shared it with. My roommate found a little string of lights to put on it, and now it's positively festive.
I have to be careful about the people in my environment, because you see how I am affected? :) Your bicycle anecdote and tree branch together inspired me. This story came naturally. I thank you for that, because it was great fun to write.
I try to stay away from angry, negative people, especially from people who have cruel intent. I'm too old and sensitive.
It's wonderful that your little tree is even more brilliant...but I think it was fine before. Best part is, it is adorned because a friend shared ornaments with you.
Have a peaceful New Year. May only good fortune come your way.
Thanks again for the inspiration, and thanks for reading.
The nice part about it was sharing the gifts underneath it. At least, that was the best part before I read the OP and the vision of community and sharing it birthed in you, that you shared with us.
