Standing at the airport, Vicky could not believe that a day like this would come. She dragged her feet, battling with both her luggages and footsteps. She felt glad and nervous at same time about seeing her family after 10 years. She had live 10 good years of her life without her family. After going through the checkpoints, she took her seat on the plane. Before the take -off, the flight attendance addressed the passengers giving safety orders and directions to follow
After the take -off, vicky sitting close to the window stared outside. At first she was admiring nature, staring at the clowds. Until she drifted into her thought staring into space. Vicky remembered how she lost her mom to an ailment at the age of 10. Everything went smooth, with her dad giving her all the care and attention, making her not to feel the empty vacum her mom left. To vicky everything changed the moment her dad fell in love again and decided to marry the woman 1 years after her mom passed away. Victoria was 12 years when her dad Mr. Gabriel married his second wife Sofia. Sofia's attempts to bond with vicky proved abortive because vicky didn't like her and told her to her face. To Vicky, Sofia divided her father's attention
Vicky extended her hatred towards her dad, claiming her dad was not satisfied with her that he got a second wife
Mr. Gabriel decided to send Vicky to a boarding school to study outside the state. During her stay there Sofia made sure she lacked nothing, she calls her thrice a week. On one of her visit, sofia decided to speak to vicky, telling vicky that she genuinely love both she and her father. Vicky now a bit older understood, but refused to show it. Sofia kept on showering motherly love and care towards Sofia even without Gabriel's knowledge.
During her graduation which both Mr. Gabriel and Sofia attended leaving the twins with their nanny, Vicky made a request to stay with a friend since she didn't want to go home and had no plans for furthering her education at the moment.
After some years Mr. Gabriel insisted that his daughter comes back home
Its been 10 years already. 12 years old Vicky was now a grown woman.
The captain's voice from the speaker notifying their landing erupted her thoughts. After the landed, Vicky saw her family r. Gabriel, Mrs. Sofia and the twins she have heard alot about Alex and Clara. They were waving at her wearing smiling faces. Vicky felt her steps heavy once again, but each step she took was with determination to start anew with her family. Reaching her family, Vicky didn't realize she was on tears until Sofia wiped her face and gave her a warm hug. They whole family took turn to hug her. Mr. Gabriel was the last, to which Vicky burst out crying uncontrollably asking forgiveness. Mr. Gabriel look her in the eyes spreading his arm wide to which Vicky ran into his arm, feeling the warm embrace mixed with love
