Hello hivers. Chapter two of the reunion is finally here
The sound of the alarm jolted Tony out from his sleep. He stretched and took a look at the time. It was past 7am. He jumped out of bed and hurriedly got ready to visit the address he got the previous day. He was so exhausted that he drifted off to sleep.
He got ready in no time and hurried off in search of job. As he approached the gate of the conglomerate, he suddenly became scared to go in, he lingered outside the gate for some minutes before he finally had the courage to walk into the premises.
As he approached the lady at the front desk he kept telling himself this was a bad idea. When he finally got to her, he told her why he was there. She told him without mincing words that the post was filled, and even if it wasn't, it was surely not for someone like him. Tony felt so hurt by her words and turned to storm off when he ran into man. The man almost fell but Tony swiftly caught him and prostrated before him while apologizing. The man asked him to get up and introduced himself as Dr Emeka, whom Tony later got to know was the CEO of the very place he came in search of a job.
He invited Tony into his office and asked why he was storming off angrily. Tony narrated his encounter with the front desk officer. Dr Emeka apologized on her behalf. Then told Tony he didn't know why but he felt really compelled to help him. He then went through Tony's documents and was really impressed. He offered Tony the position he came to apply for. Which came with a car, a two bedroom apartment and juicy allowance. And he was given one week to prepare and resume.
Tony left Dr Emeka's office shedding tears of joy. He drove to his old apartment and picked his documents which were the only important things he had in the house and he moved to his new apartment. He then proceeded to the bank and cashed the cheque he was given, went to a boutique and shopped for him and his mother. He then went back to his apartment with a resolve to drive to his village the next day and pick his mother up.
After Tony left, Dr Emeka couldn't shake off this feeling he had. The moment he saw Tony he had this strong feeling he knew him from somewhere. He was so sure he knew Tony from somewhere and his face looked really familiar. He looked like his lost love Kate. Dr Emeka laughed as he realized he was seeing Kate's face everywhere now. He decided it was because he missed her. All the same he resolved to take Tony as his son since he has no family.
