Hello hivers. Reunion chapter 3 is here

Tony left for his home town very early the next morning. His home town was just 4 hours drive but he needed to get there on time in other to make preparations to return with his mother the next day. He smiled as he thought of how surprised his mother will be. She's not aware he has gotten a job and she's not aware he's on his way to the village.

He arrived his home town about 9am. On getting home he met the house locked up, he figured his mother would have gone to the farm or the market so he decided to check up on some friends while waiting for his mother. When he returned home about 2pm his mother was already home. He smiled to himself as he honked on his car.

Kate Eze was about bringing down her pot of soup from the fire when she heard the horn infront of her house. She wondered who that would be. She quickly brought her soup down, put water on fire then covered her soup and ran to the front of the house to see who was impatiently honking infront of her house. She doesn't usually have visitors.

When Kate got to the front, she stopped dead in her tracks as Tony stepped out from the car. She noticed he was the driver and no one else was in the car. She walked slowly towards him still in shock. Tony ran up to her and was about to hug her but she shoved him off.

Kate walked round the car and asked Tony whose car he was driving. Tony laughed and shook his head as his dramatic mother fell down crying. She asked Tony why he decided to soil his hands with quick wealth. Tony continued laughing as he managed to calm her down. He assured her he didn't do anything illegal. He reminded her she raised him too well for him to do that.

Kate relaxed a bit though still a bit skeptical, she then asked Tony to tell her everything. Tony then narrated how it all happened to her. Kate stood up, screamed in joy and started dancing. Tony continued laughing as he watched her dance round the car. He then made her sit down as he told her of his plans to take her back to the city with him the next day. Kate lept up in joy. Though she pleaded with Tony to defer their trip to the day after so she could use the next day to prepare.

After they had agreed on that, Kate hurried off to the kitchen to finish preparing lunch.

The next day, Kate went to her farm and harvested as much as she could with the help of some youth. She processed the ones that needed processing, also went to the market and purchased what she felt they needed. By the end of the day, everything was ready for their trip.
