This reminds me of a book by Syd field.

No one wants a perfect character! Theirs flaws, strength and goal, everything makes your character.

Yes, exactly, @wems. We want characters with problems and flaws. We can better relate to them, and we can also then get emotionally invested in how they will fix their problems. Thanks so much for reading the tips! And thanks for the reference. I will look up Syd Field.
