This is an awesome story, particularly because lies like this are quite popular in this part of the world where poverty feels dehumanizing and everyone tries to present themselves in the exact level they aspire to. I only wish kids didn't emulate this behaviour from the adults in their immediate environment or feel inferior around other rich children.
I'm quite curious how Amara's parents were able to afford such a school where the other kids often talked about flashy destinations only the rich could afford. Chioma as well. Still, I'm happy to know this story ended well with valuable lessons for everyone, especially Amara. Lovely writing you got here!🥰
