Great read! The part about your mom calling you about more stuff after you've gone through all your stuff... something like this has happened to me every time I've done a major cleanout. It's like they can feel my relief from afar. Much of what I have these days (in terms of keepsakes) are actually other people's stuff that have been in and out of my life.
Maybe someday, one of them will clean out their closet, and I'll feel the urge to call...
