it locks up your hive. its you agreeing that you wont sell your hive. your hive power is your vote weight. use it to vote on posts and comments. try to get it up to above $0.03. use PeakD to see more details. anyways, if you want to un-stake it, it gives you 1/8 of your hive back over the course of 8 weeks. so it takes 2 months to get it all back.
