I decided to infiltrate the reddit skateboarding discord server. There are 500k people subscribed to that reddit thread, a fraction of those users are in the discord, but still many more than are in skatehive discord. im going to try to rise in the ranks in their discord, infiltrate, and try to get word out about skatehive there.
so there is a challenges list in their discord. filming clips of certain challenges rewards you with points. apparently, if you win you get some kind of special discord server stats or something. this will help my mission to infiltrate them.
SHREDDIT MONTHLY CHALLENGES, NOVEMBER LIST:
Kickflip a over a turkey (5 pts)
Any flip trick in boots (no vans boots allowed) (5pts)
Powerslide through a pile of leaves (5pts)
Pumpkin pie pressure flip challenge (10pts)
Skate a mall like it’s Black Friday(15 pts)
Front salad back salad front blunt (50 pts)
Power Ollie off something taller than you (5pts)
nollie, Ollie, fakie Ollie, and switch Ollie up a curb (5pts)
Street plant in the house (5pts)
Land 10 front shuvs in a row (can be stationary) (10 pts)
Land a kickflip over a skateboard (5 pts)
Ask a stranger in public to record a clip for you, then do the absolute worst stationary Ollie you can do (must be recording entire interaction) (bonus points if you eat shit) (25-35 pts)
Tell your mom or dad you love them over text and you appreciate them dearly (5 pts)
EASIER CHALLENGE LIST:
Ollie a stack of 15 assorted coins (2pts)
Fakie Ollie down a curb (5pts)
Firecracker a 3+ stair (3pts plus 1 for each extra stair)
Any trick in your work uniform (5pts)
Do 5 rock to Fakies and 5 tailstalls, finish off with 1 back axle (10 pts)

Kickflip without breaking eye contact with the camera (5pts)
we should dedicate a channel in our discord to display these challenegs so our people can go in there and post clips.
maybe we should watermark our clips with skatehive on them or something.

in total i got 87 points and i am in the lead to win this month and my video was pinned to the top of the discord.
we could try to strike a deal with them and see if we could sponsor a contest somehow
the discord is mainly full of little kids, who have no idea what they are doing. i still feel like we could get 5-10 people from there (the older skaters) who would be interested in what we are building at skatehive.
