Generative AI is a tool and as long as there is an original concept drafted/created by a human hand then I am fine with it being 'enhanced' or 'completed' with generative AI. Like you said, to keep people from using it would be telling them to fall behind their competitors.
I haven't played Gods: Unchained but it seems like they've created the entire game from scratch and now that they have a foundation, theme, and baseline for the art design they can use that base to generate images and save time.
Generative AI usage has become something of a taboo though and it'll be interesting to see how the community acts if more and more designs using Generative AI continue to propagate.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this subject! It's great reading the different opinions and thoughts about Generative AI as they begin to be involved with community projects
I think the same, they've already worked hard to build the image of the game, using a tool that can give them more time to devote to other things is ideal
