OTK Combo Death Meme(?)!
This deck is AWESOME. First of all, Hpain went 10-0 with it in Mythic, so it's certainly more than a meme! The full version costs quite a bit and has some of the best BWD cards, so naturally it's hard to beat. Ramp, card draw, and board wipes, what's not to love?
However, instead of the typical dragged out endgame of BWD, this deck has an INSANE 4 card combo that allows you to do 40+ damage easily in a single turn, all from hand!
The Combo!
You'll need to have all 4 cards in hand to do the full combo as well as 15 health, but even parts of the combo by itself are deadly!
Full Combo:
Begin with Anhotep the Embalmer. Choose Hippacria's Monster as the target to reduce it to 0 cost for this turn, and eat 9 face damage!
You'll now have a 0 cost Hippacria's Monster, which will be large. Likely it will be 30+ strength by herself, but even if she isn't, you already have 8 guaranteed attack on board with Anhotep, meaning you just need Hippacria's Monster to be 22 attack when it comes down, assuming your opponent has full health.
You've now dropped an obscene amount of damage on board for only 7 mana total! But now we need to seal the deal. So next up we use Necronomics to eat 5 more face damage and then refresh 5 mana, putting you back to 6 mana.
6 mana just so happens to be exactly the amount of mana we need to play the final card in the combo: Over the Line!
Feels great, not gonna lie! 😈
Beached Alternative
You can also use the Beached Colossus as a more budget friendly alternative to Hippacria's Monster.
Pros:
- It costs 750x less ($0.02 instead of $15).
- The combo can be performed 4 turns earlier (with a pip).
Cons:
- It's a trash card if not used in the combo.
- It only does 22 damage from hand with Anhotep, so you need to have done some face damage already.
I tried both ways, and obviously Hippa is stronger, but Beached was a super fun challenge as well!
Anhotep the Embalmer
This combo dusts off one completely heretofore unplayed Genesis legendary, Anhotep, whom I genuinely wonder what other decks he would work in at this point. It's a very cool card, allowing you to do an insane burst of cards in a single turn.
What combos do you guys have for him?? Looking forward to discovering more.

I like how you use "Necronomics" to use "Over the Line" to make 2 powerful creatures attack the opposing god.
