I've had it with IMX's bullshit
As the title and subtitle state, quite plainly, I've had it with the bullshit. Keep in mind folks I love GU, the devs, the community. That's the only thing keeping me here is hanging out with all of you fine people quite frankly. I've just had it with IMX setting the developers up to fail and then scapegoating them when in reality it's IMX's fault GU is in the state it's in in the first place. Some of you might not be familiar, so let me break it down and explain in various sections the "roadmap of fuckery" that lead to this point.

Massive Profits were seen, and all put elsewhere
Gods Unchained has seen MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of dollars of profit, this is not an exaggeration and can be tracked (hell even asking AI will give you the skinny when it comes to this one). A lot of those profits were used to create the "IMX platform" which is basically a "scammy crypto Steam", the rest was put into failed NFT titles that never went anywhere and partnerships that lead to nothing. All while Gods Unchained was never given enough funding to complete the game and remove the problematic bugs, deckpeeking, update the game engine, etc. Many somehow think "millions of dollars isn't enough to accomplish this". It really isn't (especially these days). The true estimated cost for a Hearthstone-like similar to gods unchained it roughly 250k-500k to complete (not buggy, no deckpeeking, competitive, and able to be edited and continued to be edited later on without "cooking spaghetti code" at every turn). Recently Robbie Ferguson (IMX founder and Etherbots rugpuller) has his sights set on the new apple of his eye "Might and Magic Fates" which is another incredibly desperate hail mary from ubisoft as they are getting bled dry on the market after various high budget release web2 flops. And this is not their first foray into web3 either, or the first attempt at this card game either (more on that later). They essentially did what they did with their other game Etherbots, which outlaw sums up real nicely.

Gamestop Hoses IMX (As of this date)
As you can see here gamestop has an agreement with IMX, and gamestop delivered on the first 2 parts of the agreement then sold ALL THE TOKENS that were given to them for a cool 76 million and tanking the price of the coin on everyone else. They have yet to complete milestone 3 and 4 and the penalty for not doing so is a mere 25 million (gamestop is in the green regardless and is likely taking the money and running and leaving IMX as chumps). Imx then proceeds to drain GU dry to recoup their loses on being taken for the suckers they are and acting like "GU just isn't making any money". Which was a blatant in the face lie. Now that they have moved to zKevm a lot of this information of the wallet that was drained is hard to acquire (but I will add it here after I ask around, it was a council of mortals snafu at the time). The pack sales wallet (which is supposed to be used to fund GU) was drained and not put into any other official GU wallet afterwards.
Might and Magic Fates: The Wrong Horse to Back
This is the wrong basket to put all your eggs, Ubisoft has already tried NFT bullshit and it tanked into the dirt as you can see on their steam page. They even had Steam purge the 50ish top reviews that said "This game is an NFT scam and was designed around NFTs do not touch this with a 10 foot pole". Ubisoft's core audience was not receptive to this game AT ALL. Might and Magic has an actual dedicated playerbase that will be just as (if not more) harsh about NFTs being involved even remotely in the card game and will not see the mass adoption Robbie hypes it up to be. Can't blame the guy though, he has more riding on this than ubisoft. Almost every other IMX game aside from GoG and GU has not only tanked but full on rugged into oblivion. So why not try and put a bit into those to keep them afloat? We will never know. So if M and M fates doesn't work out he's back to milking GU, and the spending playerbase in GU has woken up and smelled the coffee. Hell they're ready to throw it in IMX's face at this point. He's going to find the "cash cow" has run dry because he's stopped feeding it for years and years. And it wouldn't have taken that much of the millions and millions of dollars of hay he burned on other failed attempts at various things to feed the cow just enough to keep milking it.
The "IMX Vampire" and why buying in GU is futile
I wish I could say "support GU, buy packs and it will get better" or "Buy this and they will have funds to do the fixes that have been promised since game launch" but I can't in good conscious say that. IMX takes any profits that GU has seen since day one and used it for Robbie Ferguson's yachts, side projects, and massive partnership failures. Giving money to GU is throwing it into the void and will not make the situation better, if you enjoy the game as it is without it ever moving forward go ahead and spend on it. Have fun, but don't think the money you put in supports the devs. It just feeds IMX so they can start up "Coked up tech bro NFT "game" (rug) number X vibe coded in less than a weekend". I will likely keep getting cards until I have a full playset of the base cards because I want to keep playing the game and enjoying it, but don't get it twisted this IS throwing money in the trash and I know nothing good will happen no matter how much I spend. All giving GU money does is fill Robbies pockets and not fund development.

If you keep paying for mediocrity that's all you get.
The game continues and continues to reduce their budget and the Ferguson brothers expect people to keep spending and spending like blind lemmings while their cries of "fix this, do that, please complete the game" go unheeded. It's not going to happen. People notice the AI art, the rampant unhinged powercreep due to a lack of being able to actually edit and develop the spaghetti code to add new mechanics, mobile being a disaster, the list goes on. We have been continually paying for medicority and eating it and then buying more, and that's why that's all we get. It's not the devs faults in the slightest, they've honestly done an amazing job keeping the lights on this long with IMX taking every free dollar from them and continuing to cut their staff etc.
Additional Lies (as of this date)
Shoutout to the other lies that IMX's shenanigans have caused the devs to take the blame on.
- The big money world tournament that never happened
- Genesis chests
- Selling packs as unopened packs
- A working mobile app launch
- Various Bug fixes

IMX is starting to set up "The Scapegoat"
IMX is setting up GU to fail and making the scapegoat out to be "market conditions", "competing games", or "A beat market for alt coins". When in reality the GU rocket plummeting to earth is ENTIRELY their fault and nobody else's cross to bear. Don't let them fool you, they've been doing this since day 1. They will blame anything other than being a vampire that never feed the cash cow that funded their entire fucking platform, because that's a bad look even in crypto/gaming. Gamers and crypto folks and used to being milked, but they expect the game to actually come out with new things and not have bugs etc. listen to what the playerbase wants etc. Truly IMX is brazen enough to slap you in the face and tell you it was someone else.
Talking Tidbits: A bit of love
I would like to give my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the developers (come and gone) for working for such an evil company and trying their best to make us happy. Having their passions warped and exploited by a pair of crypto bros who don't give a shit about them and still trying to making us happy. I would like to thank the community for being fun to fuck around with and stream with (I'm not going anywhere que violinist on the titanic gif ). I would like to thank all of you who read this rant and actually took it all in and treated it seriously and not like an attack on the game (it's not GU is a labor of love that has been neglected despite all the passion poured into it). But with all due respect, fuck IMX. They are full of shit.
Thanks for reading everyone, I know this one was a bit wordy compared to my norm of "short and sweet" posts about gameplay elements or newer developments. I still have plenty of that to write about but I wanted to get his off of my chest. Definitely needed that, hell I'll probably be editing this to add more info/points/ dropping another rant eventually. You all rock and thanks for the support, you're what make posting worth it. Stay safe out there and I'll see you in Eucos.
