State of $GODS Token After zkEVM Migration
A few days ago, Gods Unchained started the long-awaited migration to the Immutable zkEVM chain. While the card migration is moving slowly but steadily, the situation with the $GODS token is more complicated and unstable right now.
This post will explain what’s happening with $GODS, and also give you a simple explanation of important concepts like zkEVM vs Immutable X, MetaMask vs Passport, and what swap, transfer, and bridge mean. I also added real observations and tools you can use now.
✅ Immutable X (IMX)
- Built on Ethereum Layer 2 using StarkWare.
- Fast with zero gas fees.
- Used mainly for NFT trading and minting.
- Does not support smart contracts.
✅ Immutable zkEVM
- Full support for smart contracts.
- Still Layer 2, so it has very low gas fees, but not free.
- Much better for building games and dApps.
- You can add it to your MetaMask like any other EVM network.
📌 So: IMX is fast and free, but limited. zkEVM is more powerful, supports real DeFi, and can do everything Ethereum can — just cheaper.
MetaMask vs Passport
🦊 MetaMask
Browser wallet.
Works on many blockchains, including zkEVM.
You control everything — also the gas.
You must switch networks and manage tokens manually.
Note: after migration the same address is used to store cards and $Gods rewards, just on differend chain: zkEvm

💸 Swap, Transfer, Bridge — What’s the Difference?
🔁 Swap
Change one token into another on the same network.
Example: swap $GODS for $ETH on zkEVM using a DEX.
📤 Transfer
Send a token from your wallet to another wallet on the same network.
Example: send $GODS to a friend’s wallet on zkEVM.
🌉 Bridge
Move tokens between two different blockchains (like Ethereum to zkEVM).
Example: bridge $ETH from Ethereum to zkEVM.
📌 Bridges are slow and risky. Always double-check you’re using the official bridge provider
⚠️ Current Problems with $GODS Token
The $GODS token now exists on zkEVM, and the contract address is the same as on the old chain — which is good. But there are serious liquidity problems:
- There’s very little liquidity, so swapping big amounts will wreck your value.
- $GODS balances reported by IMX or the game are often delayed or wrong.
- Gods Unchained rewards now go to your zkEVM wallet, but many users report they don’t arrive on time.
- Some wallets show zero balance, even if you received the tokens.
📌 I recommend: Be patient. Don’t panic. Wait until liquidity and tools improve.
💡 How to Trade $GODS Smartly
You can already trade $GODS on https://imx.center — it now supports zkEVM and:
- Shows your balance correctly for both MetaMask and Passport.
- Supports the official IMX swap/transfer/onramp tools.
- Pulls price info from outside IMX, so it's more accurate.
⚠️ Very low liquidity means the price changes with every trade. You can:
- Lose a lot if you try to buy/sell more than $5–10 worth.
- But you can also profit by selling small amounts like 1–5 $GODS at higher prices — even x2.
So, monitor the price, act carefully, and maybe earn a bit from this unstable market.

I know it’s hard now — some people need to buy or sell $GODS to get sealed tickets or cards. That’s why this week I will be creating:

🧷 Final Advice
- Use MetaMask or Passport, whatever works for you.
- Only bridge or swap using official providers and tools.
- Keep an eye on imx.center Auctions — it's working well post-migration with NFTs and tokens.
- Be patient — things will stabilize with time.
We’re in transition now, and it’s not smooth. But with some care and community effort, we can get through it together.

I tried that game when it first came out but it was a lame copycat of Splinterlands and whatever chain it just got moved has a weird ass name. No one's ever going to like or adopt it because it looks like a sex cult type of name like that chic from Smallville. Don't waste your time bro.
Are you sure? GodsUnchained on Immutable is hearthstone clone. A bit more complex, very good game...
They gave out a bunch of cards when they first came out to Splinterlands players so my experience was when it was the alpha or beta stage so maybe it's better now but I didn't like it when it first came out to be honest it was pretty lame.
standard card game, If you like HS or Magic, GU is for you. GU never colab with Splinterlands its other chain. maybe token name was similar like $God?
