How you've seen in the title today I'm going to talk about why it's important to use references so I want us to go back a moment to the era of Egyptian art. At that time art was different than what it looks like today. It looks like there were people in the drawings who were listed or who were looking at it with their eyes straight but their faces in profile. We could also notice things like for example the fact that animals were made with strange shapes. And they didn't look very straight or well made.

Let us not forget clearly that they managed to make impressive structures in architecture but their references to make drawings were not present while the architectural structures was something innovative that they applied and today serves as a reference for others for that time they also used references to make their drawings or paintings that are well known for their famous look.

Now the way that if we can learn from the course of references is when used in ancient Greece people to make poses to take for more that later could be carved in stone... it is clear that the early Greek sculptures are not so outstanding how to see the "Laocoon and his children" sculpture of agesandro of rhodes, atenodoro of rhodes and polidoro of rhodes which is a very famous sculpture or the famous "David" of Michelangelo in Italy, sculptures that serve as an example of the good use of reference in art.

So today I decided to leave you some references that I use in 3d characters that serve me enough to make different positions drawings or see something in another perspective.

As you know we are always in constant learning therefore it is good to continue using references to help us see things from another perspective or improve what we are failing or to rely on this reference to be able to use well the anatomy or architecture that we want to apply in our drawings illustrations or structures that we want to make

Also studying figures that we like from various books and references as for example can be the books of Andrew loomis would help us a lot
If we use references in a correct way we will manually make the domestic art perfectly that is something that helps the person who is an artist as with simple lines or figures can express the body form the expression the feeling simply with lines or figures that are very simple proving so the references always serve us as the same as what are the examples for a small child with his father

My next time I'll be talking about why it's important to get our drawing style
