Showing The Guild Store and Opening The Gladius Case in Splinterlands

in Centyesterday

In this post I'll show my rewards from the last Guild Brawl and open some Gladius Cases to expand my Gladiator card collection in the game.

In my posts I like to talk about Arcade Colony, so before continuing to talk about Splinterlands, let's learn a little about this gaming platform.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

There's also the game Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I haven't invested in it yet.

Remember that this is not an investment tip; do your research on these games before investing in them.

You can also find information on the Arcade Colony Discord server.

Let's continue talking about Guild Brawl in Splinterlands.

My Guild participates in Tier 3 Brawls, but we usually don't finish in a good position, so the rewards aren't very high, but it's an extra to help me achieve my goals in Splinterlands.

In this Brawl, my guild received 19.5 SPS and 1867 Merits. I keep the SPS staked to increase my rewards in ranked battles. I use merits to buy Gladius Cases and receive Gladiator cards for my collection.

In the Guild Store you'll find 4 options for spending merits:

  • Gladius Case
  • Spy Glass
  • Blood Stone
  • Power Stone

My strategy is to spend all the merits I receive on Gladius Cases because Spy Glass isn't very useful and only the Leader can buy it. I can't buy Blood Stones or Power Stones right now.

I have enough merits for 3 Gladius Cases and each one costs 2000 merits.

For those curious about the Blood Stone and Power Stone, they work the same as the Alchemy Potion and the Legendary Potion.

  • The Blood Stone increases the chances of getting Legendary cards in the Gladius Case.

  • The Power Stone increases the chances of getting Gold Foil cards in the Gladius Case.

Let's open the Gladius Cases and see the Gladiator cards I'll receive.

No epic or legendary cards, but I managed to get cards that I use very frequently in Brawls, so they will be useful for me to evolve.

My goal is to evolve all Gladiator cards to the maximum level, so they will be useful in ranked battles as well.
