Showing the Guild Store in Splinterlands

in Centyesterday

In this post, I'll expand my Gladiator card collection by opening Gladius Case in Splinterlands.

In my posts, I like to talk about Arcade Colony, so let's learn a little about this gaming platform.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

There are 4 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

You can also find information on the Arcade Colony Discord server.

Let's continue talking about Splinterlands and see which Gladiator cards I'll get this time.

To buy a Gladius Case, you need to be in a Guild for at least 7 days, then the Guild Store will be unlocked for you.

The Guild Store has 10 levels, and Gladius Cases are unlocked at Level 2. My guild has the Guild Store at level 4, so I can buy Gladius Cases and Spy Glass. I don't find Spy Glass very useful, so I only spend my merits on Gladius Cases.

In the Guild Store, you'll find items to buy; there are also Blood Stones and Power Stones, but I can't buy them currently.

  • The Blood Stone increases your chances of getting Legendary cards in Gladius Cases.

  • The Power Stone increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards in Gladius Cases.

Let's take a look at the price of Gladius Cases.

Each Gladius Case costs 2000 merits and gives the player 5 random Gladiator cards. I'm going to buy 3 Gladius Cases, so I'll spend 6000 merits in total and receive 15 Gladiator cards.

In the OPEN option, you'll open the packs in Splinterlands, including the Gladius Cases.

Since I can't buy Blood Stones and Power Stones, I'll have less chance of getting Legendary or Gold Foil cards. Let's see which cards I'll get.

This time I was lucky enough to get the Xulax Nightwind card. It's one of the Legendary cards I didn't have yet, so it was a great addition to my collection, and I'm sure it will be very useful in my battles.

Little by little, I'll evolve my cards until they reach the maximum level. I'll use some of the Glint I receive in ranked battles on Loot Chests, so the amount of merit I'll earn during the season will be enough for me to open several Gladius Cases. I also earn merit by participating in Guild Brawls.
