Showing The Hrolfa Card in Splinterlands

in Cent23 hours ago

In this post I will show the Hrolfa card in action in Splinterlands, it is one of the Extra cards from the Arcane Conclave edition in the game.

Before continuing to talk about Splinterlands, let's learn a little about Arcade Colony.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

I mentioned Stakehouse Den, but I'm not playing it very often because my goal is just to accumulate Hot Sauce currently. So I'm mainly active in Splinterlands and Moon Karts.

There's also the game Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I haven't invested in that game yet.

Remember that this is not an investment tip, always do your research on these games before investing.

Let's continue talking about Splinterlands and the Hrolfa card.

Hrolfa is a card that belongs to both the life deck and the water deck, meaning you can use it in both decks, and this is an important detail because it increases the number of strategies you can use with Hrolfa.

There are 2 ways to obtain the Hrolfa card in Splinterlands:

  • Opening Loot Chests
  • Buying the card from other players on the market.

Opening Loot Chests gives you a chance to get a jackpot, and this jackpot can be one of the 5 extra cards from the Arcane Conclave edition.

These are the 5 extra cards from the Arcane Conclave edition; the most valuable are Hrolfa and Grix, so if you get one of these cards, consider yourself lucky.

The focus of this post is the Hrolfa card, so let's learn more about it.

Hrolfa is a ranged card and costs 6 mana to use in battle. It doesn't have much health or attack speed, but it's a good card for dealing damage and has great abilities.

The abilities that the Hrolfa card possesses are:

Protect

+2 armor to all allied units.

Repair

Restores 2 armor (up to max) to the allied unit with the most damage to its armor.

Pinpoint

Allied sneak attacks cannot miss.

Dodge

+25% chance to evade physical attacks.

I consider the Hrolfa card a support card because the Protect and Repair abilities are very useful for protecting your allied cards in battle. The Pinpoint ability is also very useful, especially if there are many monsters with the Sneak ability in your strategy. The Dodge ability is also useful because Hrolfa doesn't have much health or armor, so dodging attacks is a great way for it to survive longer in battle.

Let's take a look at the Hrolfa card in action on the battlefield.

BATTLE

In the battle, I used a risky strategy because I had little mana available, so using the Hrolfa card wouldn't be the best option since it costs 6 mana, but I thought it would be a good idea, especially when I combined it with the summoner Eternal Tofu and because it had the Super Sneak battle rule.

I only managed to use 4 monsters with the amount of mana available, but it was enough to defeat my opponent and show how useful the Hrolfa card is in battle.
