Showing The Rila Fen Card in Action in Splinterlands

in Cent17 hours ago

In this post I'll talk about one of the cards from the new Reward Set that caught my attention the most: Rila Fen.

Rila Fen is a card from Splinterlands, but before continuing to talk about her, I'll talk a little about Arcade Colony.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

You'll also find Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I'm not currently playing it.

Of the 3 games I'm playing, I only play Splinterlands and Moon Karts frequently because they are the most fun and profitable.

Remember that this is not investment advice, so do your research on these games before investing in them.

Let's get back to talking about Rila Fen in Splinterlands.

Rila Fen is one of the 7 epic cards from the new Reward Set in Splinterlands and she is the most expensive epic card on the market right now. To be honest, this value is low because she was selling for $2 this week.

The reason Rila Fen caught my attention is her abilities, but I'll talk about them soon, first let's learn a little about the card.

Rila Fen is an epic life deck card; she costs 8 mana to use in battles and has a spell attack. In my opinion, Rila Fen's base stats aren't bad; she'll deal a good amount of damage in battle and has a good amount of health and armor, so she won't be easily defeated. Her only major drawback is her low attack speed.

Let's look at Rila Fen's abilities.

Divine Shield

Ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed.

Final Rest

Allied and enemy abilities that trigger on defeat cannot activate.

Tank Heal

Each round, restores 1/3 of max health (rounded down) to the allied unit in the first position.

Echo

Active abilities (Repair and all healing and cleansing abilities) trigger twice per round.

This is a great combination of abilities for a card, and the reason I like Rila Fen is because of her Tank Heal and Echo abilities. In my posts, I've already mentioned how much of a fan I am of healing abilities, especially Tank Heal, because I have great strategies where it's very useful in battles, so Rila Fen is perfect for my collection.

To show how useful Rila Fen can be, I'll show her in action on the battlefield.

I like to use Practice mode to test cards I don't have yet, so I'll use it to test Rila Fen at the maximum level.

These are the settings I use in Practice mode.

BATTLE

I'll use this battle as an example, and in it, Rila Fen proved to be a great card to have in battle because it was a great support, helping the other allied cards.

To make Rila Fen an even more incredible card, I used the summoner Elias Max Pruitt, and he granted the Repair ability and the Cleanse ability to Rila Fen. This made the Echo ability even more useful in this battle.

With this combination of cards, I easily defeated my opponent, and none of my cards were defeated during the battle.
