The Power of a Damage Support in Splinterlands

in Cent16 hours ago

In this post I'll talk about the Stonebind Matron card in Splinterlands; it's a great addition to my strategies because of its Triage ability.

Before continuing with Splinterlands, I'll talk about Arcade Colony.

Arcade Colony

Arcade Colony is a web-based platform where mainstream games can deploy Web3 features. Newly created games, as well as previously released games, can now add tokens, digital collectibles, trading, renting, earning, and governance to their games. Thus, Arcade Colony hosts a series of published games similar to the Epic Games Store, Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Steam, but unlike Web2 publishers, Arcade Colony augments new and existing games with Web3 features.

For more information about the platform, read the Whitepapper.

I'm playing 3 games on Arcade Colony and they are:

There's also the game Genesis League Goals on Arcade Colony, but I haven't invested in it yet.

Remember that this is not an investment tip; always do your research on these games before investing in them.

Let's continue talking about the Stonebind Matron card in Splinterlands.

As I mentioned before, this card is a great addition to my strategies because of its Triage ability, but before talking about that, let's get to know the card.

Stonebind Matron costs 8 mana and belongs to the new Reward Set, which means that to get it you need to buy Rarity Draws or Loot Chests in the Glint Shop; you also have the option to buy it in the card market.

There are 3 abilities on the Stonebind Matron, and they are:

Opportunity

Targets the enemy unit with the least health.

Triage

Each round, restores 1/3 of maximum health (rounded down) to the allied backline unit that has taken the most damage.

Poison Burst

When defeated, 100% chance to apply Poisoned to the attacker and 50% chance to apply Poisoned to units adjacent to the attacker. Poisoned units lose 2 health at the beginning of each round.

This is a good combination of abilities, and the Stonebind Matron is a great ally in attack and as support.

To find the Glint Shop in Splinterlands is very simple; you just need to log in to the website, go to the SHOP option, and then to Rewards.

Here you'll find all the items you can buy with the Glint you receive in ranked battles.

To get the cards from the new Reward Set, you have the options of Rarity Draws and Loot Chests.

My focus is on both, but I'm spending more Glint on Rarity Draws.
