Today I'm going to open my first Foundation Pack in Splinterlands. I like to test my luck and open packs in games, even though I often lose money doing so, but the thrill of hitting some kind of jackpot is incredible.
My goal is to start in the Frontier format, and to do so, I need cards, so I have the option of buying them on the market or opening packs. I can also get cards by completing Campaign Mode, but it doesn't give all the Foundation cards available, and I'll need more cards to level them up.
The Foundation Pack currently costs $0.175, which is the equivalent of 302.5 DEC. You also have the option to purchase it with Credits.
I'm going to use the Credits option because I have some in my account and it will be enough to buy the pack, so I'll spend 175 Credits.
After purchasing the Foundation Pack, I have to go to the "Open Packs" option, which is located under "OPEN" on the Splinterlands website.
Each Foundation Pack contains 5 cards, including 1 card of rare or higher rarity. You can use Alchemy potions or Legendary potions to increase your chances of getting Gold Foil and Legendary cards.
- The Alchemy potion increases your chances of getting Gold Foil cards.
- The Legendary potion increases your chances of getting Legendary cards.
Let's take a look at which cards I can get by opening the Foundation Pack.
I consider myself lucky because I got a Gold Foil rare and an Epic card, so this was a great pack opening.
These are great cards, and I have no doubt they will be very useful in my battles. Now I'm thinking about selling the Gold Foil rare card to buy other cards or another Foundation pack, but I'll only do that later because I'm out of Alchemy potions and Legendary potions at the moment and I still have to open 5 Conclave Arcana Starter Packs.
To get Alchemy and Legendary potions, I can buy them with Glint or DEC. I prefer to buy them with Glint, so I'll save some to buy the potions or open Loot Chests, as they're very common to get potions from.
