Brock Lesnar, big name, huge presence.
But at this point, in my opinion, I think that aura of destruction with Lesnar is no longer there, and once he starts to lack that "unstoppable beast" feeling, he is not anything special but just another name on the roster.
He is not the powerhouse he used to be.
Remember when beating Brock actually meant something?
Yeah, that's over.
I am a former and still am a Lesnar fan, but really, how is any person not queasy with his connection to the McMahon scandals? Lesnar's name has taken enough beatings. And even when none of it seems to stick, that associated shadow is always there, hovering over him and whomever else he may step into the ring with. Why risk it when WWE has other stars that have not been drugged through the mud?
Besides, Gunther doesn't need that match with Lesnar.
What does he have to gain from it? Some ten-minute match where it's just gonna feel like neither of them is really trying? Gunther's on top and forging his own path, and a match with an older Lesnar doesn't add to that. If anything, WWE needs to be investing in building the momentum of Gunther now, not throwing him into some kind of nostalgia act with Brock.
Let Lesnar stick to the farm, at least for now. WWE has enough stars without him.
