I could say Phase 4 just started. Most known alt coins have reached and passed their ATH and there's the crypto euphoria right now. Everyone's talking about cryptos and getting their alts ready for pumps. Only that I don't think we ever witnessed Phase 2. Maybe ETH outperforming Bitcoin isn't about the price but it's use.

I was gonna say, I haven't heard any talk about the flippening this time around. To be fair, I'm not following the news as closely of late, but last time the talk was inescapable. No mentions that I've come across on Twitter and the like.

Phase 5 75% to 95% crashes of all alt coins, major coins 50%+ crashes, then repeat the cycle ;)
I'd hazard a guess that we are somewhere in the 2/3 area, although I don't see ETH reaching BTC highs anytime soon... I'm guessing that "flippening" would be relative.
It does seem like some of the alts are spiking, but not that many of them in a sustained way, so I'm not sure we're in "4" yet; there are alts going up sharply, but they invariably drop back down... albeit often to new "higher lows."
To be honest, I'd rather see a slower sustained uptrend than a bunch of stuff going 10x in a couple of weeks, only to give most of it back.

I feel like we are in phase 3. Maybe still in between phase 3 and phase 2. Reasoning is ETH is still going strong but the large caps haven't gone insane yet.

Weird, I know, but it’s still feeling like Phase 1 to me, and that things might not even shift to Phase 2 until BTC breaks through $100k.

Phase four for sure. Alt Season! BTC dominance is below 50, sitting at 45-ish right now, which is a super-bullish sign for altcoins. The last time that happened was back in 2018... and we all know what happened back then. Before we get too greedy and expecting huge returns starting from today, many alt-coins already 5x-ed in Q1 2021. But I got a feeling the bull market isn't going to be over after Phase 4 finished. We're witnessing more and more adoption towards Bitcoin every day and how other cryptocurrencies and tech are being utilized in the "real world".
Bring on Hive season! I think once BNB starts to boom Hive will too. BNB will break $2000 end of year early next year.

looking like 2-3 but some of these alts are skyrocketing so kind of makes me think it's a combo of 2-3-4 with Bitcoin just hung out to dry.
Yeah could be many are just trying to front-run the next phases, could mean they'll just go more parabolic. Who knows, been an exciting 2021 so far at least and doesn't look like it's close to end neither.

All kidding aside, I think we are in between phase 3 and 4.
I'm interested in what will happen if the coming marketing campaign has a good effect. Man we won't go parabolic, the next thing. I think we have the potential to go up the ranks of crypto... Who knows what will happen, best strategy: hodl and see.
