I recently bought 1000 hive's worth of Zing as I noticed the price of it had dropped quite a bit and am planning on picking up some more in a few days.

How interesting! A thoughtfull post that opens the door to see many different perspectives. I find it very enriching to see how every individual is a world on their own: some use Hive for pay their daily expenses, others accumulate HivePower to increase their influence on the ecosystem, and others like myself use it as an investment vehicle to access projects of the ecosystem.
On my end, I currently invest all the HIVE (capital) I designate to this ecosystem, seeking to accumulate positions in projects that I believe have a solid, longterm plan. My asset management strategy is divided into two parts:
80% is allocated to accumulating as much PWR tokens as possible. My objective is to strengthen my participation in this project and its future value proposition, so I am building my position periodically.
20% goes to acquiring NFTs in Rising Star (My favorite game on HIVE). I see this as a diversification into the ecosystem seeing each NFT as a productive assets. That allows me to generate an income stream for reinvestment, has potential for appreciation, and also supports the internal economy of an ecosystem I enjoy,a game I enjoy playing.
Hive: 100% of HIVE earnings are allocated to Powering Up to gradually increase my voting power, at least until I dont need to rent HP to curate content.
HBD: 100% of HBD earnings are sent to staking to generate a passive yield and leverage the liquidity flow it can represent in the future.
Your own example of reinvesting in ZING, especially after a correction, speaks very well about you and the confidence you have in your project. It is undoubtedly a great sign of trust for the community and potential investors.

I spend my $HBD on paying for services such as electricity and internet and we only change it to the Fiat currency of our country Venezuela (Bolívar) when will it be canceled because it is a little difficult to explain but since the price of the Dollar with respect to the Bolívar changes constantly we do not want to lose although regularly when changing we always benefit that helps us a lot. There are also cases like today where we changed 5 $HBD to buy corn flour, butter, bread to use the rest to buy some beers🍺 and participate in a challenge here at #Hive to try to recover some of what we spent

Currently I am earning interest there, but my plan is to use them to start a small food selling business (self-made food delivered by car) in the Philippines when in October my contract as Overseas Filipino Worker in Hong Kong ends. But I have in past exchanged it for Gold & silver. Idealy the reverse so adding it instead of sending it. Here in USA it’s not as necessary right now but I do know there are places using HBD is amazing for easy use and sanctions effected areas it’s a life saver I’m sure. That 3 second block time is a dream. I have bought a T-shirt once though.
My only big purchase was selling old Steem right after fork for bitcoin. In terms of full history. I suppose I’m not really using that side of our system here to as much. Mostly put in time on creating market or music vlog posts and save up. But homely just knowing I can love value in a 3 second block tike world here is comforting to know. Even in an emergency situation I could create an account for someone egos bot a current user here and get them set up in minutes tops. As much as I do believe in bitcoin unlike you, trading value? Hive or HBD is the best there is for moving value to a friend or family member fee free anywhere!

Lil' bit on the personal side as well, but am positioning to potentially take out a little value to cover bills whilst in-between jobs if/when needed. I don't really consider it spending, when I trade Hive/HBD for other crypto or tokens.
However, years ago, I bought a new phone with my Hive earnings (it might had been S***m earnings back then, not really sure). I actually paid for it in crypto, although with Ltc - a leading Czech online retailer has been accepting various coins for years.
Honestly, nothing tangible. Any HBD I get I either put into savings or I buy ZING or DEC with it.
But that being said I know of zero places near me that accept HBD here in the US.
Now if you are asking about ANY crypto.. well I bought a 3D printer with it and I am loving it :)

I've been saving my HBDs, and in the long term I'd like to buy my own home, so that could help, as could my Hive Power. Last week, on my birthday, I was about to withdraw it because my wife applied to study opera in Italy, but sadly she wasn't chosen, so I put it back into savings. I don't know if it will be for an apartment in Caracas or to emigrate to another country 😅 but for now, I'm keeping it with a lot of faith and continuing to work on increasing it 🙏

On the personal side, I recently bought a computer about two months ago to work on it and keep up with the world of Web 3. I only recently discovered it. I'm in the process of gradual progress and building a foundation that may help me in the future. As for the digital side, in the same context, I do what's called a stake for everything I earn from blogging or interacting on Hive. I consider this an investment in myself before anything else 😊.

Since I've been on Hive, the rewards I've earned are for my school supplies, personal hygiene, hair care, and makeup. I was saving up to fix my bedroom walls and door, but my cell phone broke and I need to fix it as soon as possible, so my dreams of having a princess room will be postponed for another 10 years... hehehe
At the moment I've hardly used Hive or HBD to buy or pay for anything out here. Although last month I took 20 HBD if memory serves me right to pay some bills, it was a very tight month.
Otherwise, I'm just accumulating, either HP or using the script I created to take 30% of the HBD I get paid for each post and put it into savings, so that's basically it, accumulating for now.

I just keep accumulating more and more, and I don't intend to stop accumulating. I promote the network, but here in Brazil, the number of people who join is very low. People are afraid of cryptocurrency because they were scared that it's synonymous with a Ponzi scheme.
I've only used HIVE once in my entire life, when my laptop broke and I had to buy a used one as an emergency because, in addition to using HIVE itself, I had to work! In this case, since I didn't have the financial means, I ended up using resources that came from HIVE.
It's really odd that so many people are afraid of hive because they think it's a scam or a Ponzi scheme. If they are not investing any fiat into Hive, what are they going to lose? The most is probably a bit of time that they may have spent on the internet anyway. They get the potential upside of earnings , and to meet a lot of people.
I think exactly like that. What is at risk is a small fraction of your time. So why not know? It's just fear!

I don't spend Hive, I spend HBD, and I actually just used some that I sent via V4V to buy an Amazon gift card and bought a drone.

Several times I paid the bills for electricity, water and heating of the apartment. But then I bought the Hive back. The Hive for me was like a pawnshop or a bank, only without interest and documents.
I recently ran low on funds while grocery shopping because I miscalculated and I don't like loans due to the interests that come with them. Luckily I had Liquid Hive from my gaming blog. That's how Hive came to the rescue.

And as a return he transfered me hbd. So I think it can be considered almost as p2p case with hbd.
I recently upgraded my GPU and RAM, spending Hive. It was not from my post earnings; the tokens came from you, for my editing service. I spent all of it and even had to add some for the upgrade.

My Hive the goal is to accumulate everything I do in the year, to enjoy a part in December and another in January,
In December I travel to see my mother who lives almost 500 km away from me, and unfortunately I can only visit her once a year.
I also leave a little bit for the month of January when my two youngest children have their birthdays, and I take them to eat something delicious, so I keep my Hive to enjoy with the ones I love the most, every year, and I trust in God that every year will be better.
