Before i start this you should know i am a firm believer that the value of this blockchain, is on the users and i really hate price speculations exhanges etc.
In my opinion i think it's time we get together and launch an aggressive advertising campaign now that the price of hive is high. and some of use still have some steem to sell.
We should forget about new investors for now, anyone who is into crypto knows about hive and if they wanted to invest they would have done so already. so we must focus on getting users, the non crypto users.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of it but this is the idea.
airdrop 50+ mil hive from the HDF to twitter users or some other social network. using the @fullalt tipping tool.
tip 100 hive per random user with a certain criteria i.e just made a post has 200+followers from usa. not following list of exchanges

with the next HF get the technicality of tipping from HDF to user with 15 days expire date. user registered after /date

promote @peakd front end . i know is closed source but is the best option for now. top of my head make them promise that in exchange they will let all new future apps on hive (competition included ) advertise for 1 month free on their end one "top slot".

the importance of simple users
facebook is worth 650 billion and has 2.6 billion monthly active users. if my math is correct makes each user worth $250 if we give away 100 hive per user it's a barging (correct me if i'm wrong).
short problems ( increased liquidity of hive) i think some selling will happen in short turn but we should know that every user that manages to claim and sell the hive is introduced fully to hive ( we could win extra points from crypto community for introducing people to crypto. if we sell it right.
the most effected by this would be the large stake holders like @blocktrades @freedom @theycallmedan @darthknight etc.
blocktrades can benefit from the exchange.
theycallmedan can get more users on 3speak. the rest maybe they see value on users like everyone else.
doing this will further decentralize the chain.
i would be happy giving away the 80 million hive if we get 200k + users as a result hell even less.
if we do it with tips to new users we are only paying on results i.e user opens an account and claims them. even if they sell ill bet you after a while he/she will be back for more
lets do this consider we never had that hive and see what it gets us.
if successful we might get that coinbase listing.

This is an interesting suggestion.
But I'm not totally convinced that these airdrop-incentivized new users would really come to Hive. Perhaps they'd rather sell their Hive for BTC or some shitcoin.
But a big marketing campaign could really help Hive take off.
I’m sure most of them would sell . And because they are new to crypto they would sell for cash but that’s the whole point the ones that manage to do it will always remember hive pays cash in the long run that’s good . Later on at some point most will be back .. we should try and extract value from human traffic not from hold invest mentality .

I think we should invest money by paying certain influencers (which ones? musicians? writers? athletes?) so that they'll post exclusively on Hive and communicate that to their followers.

Hive still have some serious issues that it inherited from Steem. Until those issues are resolved, I wouldn't recommend mass promoting it.
what issues ? it runs , its secure can handle the traffic if these are good then the rest can be fixed
