RE: Will you pay 10 Hive every month to access a service that let's you track your Hive post views?

in Ask the Hive6 years ago

Instead, wouldn't it be better to configure that in Hive itself to know how many views are there on the post. Not everyone will be keen to know their views if they have to pay an amount.

True true....

The fact is majority are already doing without it anyway.

But lets understand the value of having a post view counter, irrespective of how it is being provided.

Now,

  • Post counter as a service which charges fees,

  • fees are sent to null, or burnt or whatever.

  • posts that use the service have the eye count logo next to "reply" (maybe with the number of eyes on the posts alongside)

  • The community appreciates them more for contributing to the economy. (Through upvotes or engagements or however)

  • They get popular....more people do it.....and....more people do it, or not.

I know Hive can probably provide this service for free, or one of the front ends but like I said from the beginning, I'm just thinking of ways Hive can offer a service to its users to boost its internal economy.

Reddit plans to monetize making a comment with GIF. So if you want to make a comment with GIF, you have to pay.

But there will be very few, literally none to use that service as far as I know. Instead of counter if it can have something like full statistics than it might help

Full statistics will totally nail it finish.

Look at this tweet on twitter

But twitter is not on a blockchain

That's the thing, if I would have created a front-end for hive, I would have kept all the information
