RE: Claude DHF subscriptions

Feels like you're undermining the skill of AI coding.

I'd say AI slop is undermining the value of ai coding because the last thing we want is more slop. Let's face it, 80% of folks using gen AI are because they have little motivation to work toward anything or put in effort, they want the end result minus the practice, learning, experience that it would take otherwise.

In my own posts I have said how I use these tools, and where I see they fit. I am not anti-ai, I am anti-slop.

Why are you assuming this will generate slop?

People have created useful things using AI. I wanna encourage more of that and help the few that may not have the means to keep going or can't invest to explore further.

Just going by what I see out there but if you can coach people to create cool stuff then yes that is entirely different. The additional concertn with slop on a blockchain is obviously the lax security inherent in most (not all) AI-coded apps because these tools are eager to please, especially when given "clear" instructions.

To give one example, a friend is a pastor who has vibe coded some bible apps. Great! Apart from he started encouraging other preachers to use it. Passwords were stored in encrypted form but his JSON api from the front end JS transmits them in plain text. It did what he asked for but not the INTENT of what he asked for. Make sense?

Of course, I think I even stated in the post or somewhere here in the comments that recipients of the sponsorship are required to do security testing at least once a month with the subs. I'll definitely be checking that out as well since I'll require them to share their repo with me if they want the subscriptions.

I'm trying to do this as safe and efficient as possible while maintaining transparency and a focus towards hive. At the same time encouraging more people to give it a try and learn the way I did.

I know the post itself seems halfassed but if it gets funded the process of accepting applicants won't be.
