Yes @livinguktaiwan, from your description, it is the same or very similar. The shorter the window the better the results. My dear one typically (you can allow yourself some "cheat" days ... 😉) eats only one meal a day. Refers to is as OMAD - One Meal a Day!
They are 3 years into it and have lost ~ 70 lbs. in weight. As beneficial as that is, the other benefits detailed in this post are greater still for them. They are "evangelists" for this lifestyle and have successfully gotten others to try it, as well as confirm how well it works. There is a lot of science behind why it is so transformational.
Oh MAD!!!! One meal a day sounds really tough!! I guess your body adapts to it, but I do like eating, not sure if I can handle that.
