An interesting destination. You zipped passed all the tourist traps and ended up in the subtle landscape of what people in Utah tend to call The West Desert.

I used to go rock collecting in Utah and Wyoming with my parents. We even knew some old time miners. Most places discourage rock collecting these days.

Ya, I lived in Ogden when I was younger, I've been to Cedar City plenty of times, so nothing much for me to see, just work to do and solace of the remoteness to enjoy.

Unlike most states, Utah encourages rock hounding. It's pretty incredible. Get's people outdoors.
