Saludos amigos de hive y sketchbook, y feliz inicio de semana para todos, el dia de hoy les comparto esta lámina del esqueleto de un elefante, el cual realicé ayer domingo primero de mayo, día internacional del trabajador, así que feliz día para todos ustedes. Esta lámina será el material de apoyo de la exposición que mi primita de 4to grado que presentará el día de hoy, una de las 3 exposiciones que tendrá esta semana, además de la entrega de un libro sobre este tema.
Greetings friends of hive and sketchbook, and happy start of the week to all, today I share with you this sheet of the skeleton of an elephant, which I made yesterday, Sunday May 1st, >international workers day, so happy day to all of you. This poster will be the support material for the exhibition that my little cousin from 4th grade will present today, one of the 3 exhibitions she will have this week, besides the delivery of a book on this topic.
El tema de esta exposición trata sobre animales vertebrados e invertebrados, donde ella le tocó hablar sobre un animal vertebrado, y ella podría escoger lo libremente, mi primita duró días sin decidirse, así que hicimos un sorteo con un dado hasta dar con el animal, donde el animal ganador fue el elefante. Sinceramente ese era uno de los animales que quería realizar para esta exposición, ya que ese mismo animal sería del cual se investigará para el libro.
The theme of this exhibition is about vertebrate and invertebrate animals, where she had to talk about a vertebrate animal, and she could choose it freely, my little cousin lasted days without deciding, so we made a draw with a dice to find the animal, where the winning animal was the elephant. Honestly, that was one of the animals that I wanted to make for this exhibition, since that same animal would be the one to be researched for the book.
Aunque en la exposición dará información general del elefante y sólo usará el esqueleto para señalar ciertas áreas de este dibujo, como el cráneo, la columna, los colmillos y otras áreas más destacadas y fáciles de recordar para mi primita. Esta exposición era en parejas, y mi primita esta con su mejor amiga, la cual hablará de la lombriz, ya que ella debía escoger el invertebrado, además de la exposición también estará la lombriz en el libro, complementandose entre sí ambas informaciones.
Although in the exhibit she will give general information about the elephant and only use the skeleton to point out certain areas of this drawing, such as the skull, spine, tusks, and other areas that are more prominent and easier for my little cousin to remember. This exhibit was in pairs, and my little cousin is with her best friend, who will talk about the worm, since she had to choose the invertebrate, in addition to the exhibit there will also be the worm in the book, complementing each other both information.

Make margins of 3cm around the sheet of bond paper, then make the silhouette, distributing the proportion and making a line with a diameter of 10cm so that it is the size of the letters.
Shape the drawing, making the skeleton and making the title "elephant skeleton" at the top.
I proceeded to outline the whole drawing of the elephant with the pen, and I outlined the letters with black marker. When I finished, I erased the pencil lines very carefully.
With the chalk I proceeded to fill in the silhouette of the elephant, using a black tone with a purple border.
Utilice los colores para detallar el esqueleto, usando color amarillo y un tono casi marrón, para dar la textura de hueso, además con el negro rellene espacios que la tiza no cubrió por el borde del esqueleto.
I used the colors to detail the skeleton, using yellow and an almost brown tone, to give the texture of bone, also with the black I filled spaces that the chalk did not cover by the edge of the skeleton.
Realice un degradado en las letras utilizando diversos tonos de verde, ya que este es el color que nos hace pensar en la naturaleza, o temas referidos a este como lo es la fauna.
I made a gradient in the letters using different shades of green, since this is the color that makes us think of nature, or themes related to it, such as fauna.
Me encantó el resultado de esta lámina, aunque no niego que fue un poco tedioso hacer hueso por hueso, pero sin duda el resultado valió la pena, además este gran animal es uno de mis animales favoritos, no sólo por ser el mamífero terrestre más grande del planeta, sino por su gran intelecto, ya que pueden sentir empatía, socializar, reconocerse y reconocer a otros, además puede pasar por un proceso de luto tras una pérdida. Sin duda un animal fantástico e inolvidable, y los bebés elefantes son super adorable y se en juguetones, espero tener la oportunidad de ver uno algún día.
I loved the result of this sheet, although I do not deny that it was a little tedious to do bone by bone, but certainly the result was worth it, plus this great animal is one of my favorite animals, not only for being the largest land mammal on the planet, but for his great intellect, as they can empathize, socialize, recognize and recognize others, also can go through a mourning process after a loss. Undoubtedly a fantastic and unforgettable animal, and baby elephants are super adorable and playful, I hope to have the opportunity to see one someday.
