Yep, this obsession is an old one and it only gets stronger as days pass by :D I have been sketching since my school days and you can imagine how many notebooks I would have ruined back then lol. It was always one of my fears to pass on my notebooks to anyone because I was embarrassed at their state. About 10 pages at the end would always be in a horrible condition because I really didn't give an f about notebook decorum π When I turn back and look at those memories, I really feel that I should have presented those sketches proudly rather than feeling the odd one out!
Eyes were probably the first human part I was courageous enough to attempt also because they are the first thing I notice when I meet someone. The desire to be able to illustrate them was only natural. Over the years I have of course done many, many such sketches/paintings and now they are so much easy to explore from different mediums. It also helped me in slowly covering other features of a human face and eventually to portraits.
It's really interesting to connect the dots this way, don't you think? :)
Let me know what you guys think. I love to hear from you! π§‘

I wanted to make a different angled eye today and I am glad that my understanding of skin colors is getting better every time I get with it. I laid down the basic outline and some colors with Staedtler Colored pencils. The rest was done with watercolors. I still need to learn how to do eyelashes because I kind of suck at them hahahahh :D
