A glimpse — Hive

Últimamente me ha costado muchísimo dibujar, quiero que vuelva a ser algo que pueda hacer con facilidad sin sentirme con la necesidad de algo mas para poder pintar, es duro, pero espero poder lograrlo poco a poco. Para volver a retomar mi camino decidí empezar a realizar dibujos sencillos y que pueda terminar en poco tiempo, creo que asi puedo ayudarme a ponerme metas de corto plazo a mí misma y quizás pronto dibujar cada vez mas tiempo y cosas mas detalladas. Y bueno, los ojos es algo que siempre me ha gustado pintar y que mejor oportunidad de hacerlo que ahora, esta vez quise que fuese en blanco y negro para darle una vibra mas interesante y también para trabajarlo un poco mas rápido. Espero que les guste.

Lately, I've been finding it really hard to draw. I want it to be something I can do easily again, without feeling like I need something extra to be able to paint. It's tough, but I hope I can get there little by little. To get back on track, I decided to start doing simple drawings that I can finish quickly. I think this way I can set short-term goals for myself, and maybe soon I'll be able to draw for longer periods and with more detail. And well, eyes are something I've always loved to paint, and what better opportunity than now? This time I wanted to do it in black and white to give it a more interesting feel and also to work on it a bit faster. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé el boceto y luego comencé a pintar el rostro usando diferentes tonos de grises para marcar las sombras y luces, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores para darle mejor forma al rostro, creo que la parte más difícil fue la forma del tabique de la nariz, me salía muy extraño. Luego comencé a mezclar los colores dejando la piel con un poco de textura.

I made the sketch and then started painting the face using different shades of gray to define the shadows and highlights. On a new layer, I added more colors to give the face a better shape. I think the most difficult part was the shape of the bridge of the nose; it kept coming out very strange. Then I started blending the colors, giving the skin a bit of texture.

Detallé los ojos, las cejas y pestañas, tambien quise añadir un poco de profundidad alrededor de los ojos y por eso apliqué un poco de gris oscuro alrededor con un efecto de capa. Pinté un poco de cabello en los costados y finalmente apliqué iluminaciones a los ojos para darle más realismo.

I detailed the eyes, eyebrows, and eyelashes. I also wanted to add some depth around the eyes, so I applied a bit of dark gray around them with a layered effect. I painted some hair on the sides and finally added highlights to the eyes to make them look more realistic.
