Looking for hope

Saludos amigos, espero que estén todos muy bien. Hoy quiero recordar un poco este dibujo que tenia abandonado en mi galería, recuerdo que cuando hice este dibujo estaba en un momento de depresión y recuerdos muy tristes, quise desahogarme dibujando algo que expresara lo que sentía y recordaba de una etapa oscura de mi vida, pero simplemente nunca lo publique o mostré a nadie, no me gustaba completamente, como he hecho anteriormente he ajustado un poco los tonos de este dibujo llevándolo al lado opuesto haciendo que sea mas desaturado y con un tono mas frio, siento que así realmente captura lo que sentía en aquel entonces, últimamente me gusta manejar una atmosfera con tonos fríos en mis dibujos y estoy aplicando esto para aquellas ilustraciones que jamás salieron a la luz por una u otra razón, han pasado meses desde que dibuje esto, pero siempre es bueno mostrar los días buenos y los días malos como artista, espero que les guste.

Today I want to remember a little this drawing that I had abandoned in my gallery, I remember that when I made this drawing I was in a moment of depression and very sad memories, I wanted to let off steam by drawing something that expressed what I felt and remembered from a dark stage of my life, but i just never published it or showed it to anyone, i didn't like it completely, as i have done before i have adjusted the tones of this drawing a bit taking it to the opposite side making it more desaturated and with a colder tone, i feel like this really captures what what I felt back then, lately I like to manage an atmosphere with cold tones in my drawings and I'm applying this to those illustrations that never came to light for one reason or another, it's been months since I drew this, but it's always good to show the good days and the bad days as an artist, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Elegí crear mi boceto de una chica de perfil, creando una ilusión de que mira hacia una ventana, para esto quería usar tonos cálidos y simular un día soleado, pero más delante esto cambiaria porque sentía que no aportaba la suficiente melancolía que buscaba, use muchísimos tonos cálidos, al punto de llegar a ser demasiado saturados y se que no me llevo bien con esta paleta de colores, pero elegí seguir, pinte agregando sombras y luces para asi ir formando la silueta de esta chica.

I chose to create my sketch of a girl in profile, creating an illusion that she is looking towards a window, for this I wanted to use warm tones and simulate a sunny day, but later this would change because I felt that it did not bring enough melancholy that I was looking for, I used a lot of warm tones, to the point of becoming too saturated and I know I don't get along with this color palette, but I chose to continue, paint adding shadows and lights to form the silhouette of this girl.

Para el fondo no quise detallar mucho, pero si quería hacer la forma de una especie de habitación, usando un pincel borroso para dejar esto con un desenfoque, me complique mucho con su cabello así que al final elegí ponerle flequillo, así ocultar el desastre jajaja, puse un poco más de movimiento en todo el cabello, agregue mas detalles al rostro como un poco de textura, seguido de una capa con unas líneas desenfocadas que sería la ventana reflejando en su rostro.

For the background I didn't want to go into much detail, but if I wanted to make the shape of a kind of room, using a blur brush to leave this with a blur, I got very complicated with her hair so in the end I chose to put bangs on it, to hide the mess lol , I put a little more movement in all the hair, I added more details to the face like a bit of texture, followed by a layer with some blurred lines that would be the window reflecting on her face.

Pinte sangre en su boca y di mas detalles de luces y sombras en el rostro, cuando creí haber terminado, en ese momento fue que note que odiaba los colores tan llamativos en algo que se supone debería ser dramático, he ajustado entonces los colores de la imagen, saturación, exposición y aplique un poco mas de color en sus ojos para que resalten mucho mas asi como también en la boca.

I painted blood on her mouth and gave more details of lights and shadows on her face, when I thought I was done, at that moment I noticed that I hated such bright colors in something that is supposed to be dramatic, so I adjusted the colors of the image, saturation, exposure and apply a little more color in her eyes so that they stand out much more as well as in her mouth.

Algunas cosas a considerar además de las tonalidades que elegí al principio, son los detalles tan marcados que hice, siento que debí aplicar mas suavidad en su rostro para hacerlo mas natural y suave, pero gracias a estos “ensayos” puedo decir que he aprendido muchas cosas.

Some things to consider in addition to the shades that I chose at the beginning, are the very marked details that I did, I feel that I should have applied more softness on her face to make it more natural and soft, but thanks to these "rehearsals" I can say that I have learned a lot stuff.
