Saturation

Hoy decidí hacer un retrato colorido, simplemente tenia ganas de hacer algo diferente ya que estos últimos dibujos siento que se han parecido bastante entre sí, por eso quería romper un poco el molde de todo aquello tan “parecido”. Particularmente me encanta hacer retratos con colores y combinaciones extrañas combinado con mucha saturación pero no me gusta hacerlos muy seguido ya que es bastante complicado de manejar, tambien me hace doler los ojos el tiempo que tardo pintando jajaja, mi combinación favorita siempre será morado, rosa y azul ya que siento que son colores que se complementan demasiado entre sí. Espero que les guste.

Today I decided to do a colorful portrait. I just felt like doing something different, since I feel like my last few drawings have been quite similar to each other, so I wanted to break out of that mold of everything being so “similar.” I particularly love doing portraits with strange colors and combinations combined with a lot of saturation, but I don't like doing them very often because it's quite complicated to manage, and it also makes my eyes hurt from the time it takes me to paint, ha ha ha. My favorite combination will always be purple, pink, and blue because I feel like they are colors that complement each other very well. I hope you like it..

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y comencé a pintar usando primero una base azul clara en todo el rostro y luego aplique sombras y luces con diferentes tonos de morado, rosas y azules. En una nueva capa agregue mas colores para darle mejor forma a todo el rostro y tambien coloque un fondo rosa fuerte. Comencé a mezclar los colores sin demasiado detalle para que quedara con un efecto desordenado/descuidado pero que a la vez mantiene la forma de las sombras y luces.

I made the sketch and began painting, first using a light blue base all over the face and then applying shadows and highlights with different shades of purple, pink, and blue. On a new layer, I added more colors to give the whole face better shape and also added a bright pink background. I began to blend the colors without too much detail so that it would have a messy/careless effect but at the same time maintain the shape of the shadows and highlights.

Luego pinte el cabello con un tono morado oscuro y le agregue iluminaciones con rosa fuerte, casi olvidaba pintar las cejas y pestañas, pero lo recordé cuando me di cuenta que se veía un poco extraña jaja, luego detalle las iluminaciones dándole brillo a los ojos, pómulo, nariz, labios y frente. Tambien quise incorporar unos destellos de luces alrededor estilo bokeh

Then I dyed her hair a dark purple and added highlights with bright pink. I almost forgot to dye her eyebrows and eyelashes, but I remembered when I realized she looked a little strange, haha. Then I added highlights to her eyes, cheekbones, nose, lips, and forehead. I also wanted to incorporate some bokeh-style light flares around her.
