Hello friends, hope you are having great fun this weekend. Today, I decided to share with you my latest drawing: I made a portrait with pencils and charcoal pencil on white cardboard. It's not my first time I drew a portrait but not so perfect as this, I hope you like it.
I mount the paper on a board and with a pencil I begin the sketch out the shape, both the face, indicating the parts that will be shaded with a darker pencil and those that will be with lighter shade of the portrait. The eye make use of 5B pencil that I will darken it with charcoal pencil until I have a more darker tone.
The next step is to start putting the characteristic using a lighter pencil such as 4B, 2B, and 4H to tone the skin, but I will use 6B to get that effect, not to use the charcoal pencil directly. First, I use 4H making soft strokes, then 2B to get out the strokes of line to achieve the shape. These lines and strokes will help me get the areas to shade.
With the charcoal pencil, I began to shade out the hair, the eyes, eye brown, eyelashes, the beads on the neck, I use the 5B to brighten the areas that has the reflection of light. I shade the whole hair on the head and finally with a fine tone the shading with the use of horsetail brush. Then I repeated the same process again from the top to the last details and then I must have concluded.
FINAL WORK
This is how my drawing has remained once I have made the last details. Now you can see the realism of the portrait from the application of all those processes and how that it really is.
