How are you all? Hope everyone is okay even in this Covid pandemic situation.
Here is the painting I made of a cheetah based on a real photograph I found in pinterest. You could see the reference I used here
This painting was made with acrylic poster colour or fabric paints which is available here in small bottles and one of the cheapest type of acrylic paints. So whenever I started, I was doubting if it is possible to make a better drawing with those low quality paints? But it is not bad though.
Actually I used only two colors to make this painting. Those were red and yellow, ofcourse black and whites are also used for making variations in the colour contrasts while mixing.
The tools I used
Acrylic colours - Red, yellow, black and white
Brushes - synthetic, 2 in no.s
Paper - A5, 300Gsm
Masking tape
Painting Process
Step.1
Here is how it looked while I started the painting. I was directly making the sketch with the colours. After first sketching I doubted that it will end like a cat.
Step.2
After creating the first layer paint for the main part, I painted the background with black.
Step.3
After the first layer completion, I went on with detailing of the shadows on the body of the main character.
Step.4
Now the end part reached. I started painting the important detailed texture of the fur and sequence of black dots on the cheetah.
Finally...
Almost finished and made the moustache with white paints. Then I removed the masking tapes
So that was my painting for the community.
I am very interested in creating more art works on this community in future too.
